PXG Battle Ready II Closer Plumber Putter Gents RH
PXG’s Battle Ready II Putters feature a thin-walled hollow body construction, injection molded core, and the thinnest face in putters. The result is a high moment of inertia (MOI) design, coupled with a remarkable sound and feel on every stroke.
The Closer is a sleek, wide blade-style putter that has been redesigned based off tour player feedback. The new design offers a longer heel/toe length and a slightly thinner width front/back. The ballasts have also been reshaped to be more pronounced and deliver exceptional stability
HOLLOW BODY CONSTRUCTION
PXG Battle Ready II Putters feature a groundbreaking 303 stainless steel hollow body construction that is milled to its final form and injected with a lightweight polymer – S COR™. The hollow body construction enables mass to be repositioned to the extreme perimeter of the clubhead to significantly boost the moment of inertia.
S COR TECHNOLOGY
S COR is a lightweight polymer that is injected into the hollow body of PXG Battle Ready II Putters. An adhesive polymer, S COR bonds to the putter face, dampening any harsh vibrations during impact and supporting consistent launch and roll across the club face.
THINNEST FACE IN PUTTERS
PXG’s hollow body putter design, inspired by the company’s celebrated flagship irons, enabled PXG engineers to develop an ultrathin club face. The highly responsive face is just 0.055” thick, which enables the center of gravity to be positioned farther back in the clubhead and increases the moment of inertia (MOI). On average, the Battle Ready II Putter lineup has +10% higher MOI when compared to the original Battle Ready series.
REFINED PYRAMID FACE PATTERN
The proprietary face design on PXG’s Battle Ready II Putters boasts an aggressive milling pattern that improves ball roll characteristics. The Pyramid Face Pattern creates the soft sounds of an insert putter, while maintaining the responsive feel of a solid milled putter. The pyramid density is optimized for consistent interaction with the golf ball dimples to support a more consistent roll and feel regardless of impact location.
PRECISION WEIGHTING TECHNOLOGY
The balance of a putter can be adjusted by changing the amount and location of the sole weights. Based on the hosel selected, finetuning can further alter the overall clubhead weight, as well as influence launch conditions. Players that typically pull putts may benefit from adding heavier weight to the toe side of the putter, while players that typically push putts may add heavier weight to the heel side of a putter making it easier to square the face at impact.
